Restart iTunes and grant your computer permission to play music. If you are on Catalina or Big Sur, and you don't want to use the awful Music app, you can use Retroactive to install up to iTunes 12.9 on your Mac. When you see SC Info, drag your file into and empty your Trash. Once the script file is in that folder, open iTunes, and you should find a Scripts menu in the menu bar, after Window and before Help. Here, type defaults write AppleShowAllFiles TRUE and hit the Enter key. Press Command-Option-V to move the script file into the Scripts folder. Now go the home directory, then Library, then iTunes, then Scripts. Now to install the script, first locate the script file and press Command-C to copy it. Once it is checked, the Library folder should be there. It should be there if you have Mavericks or Yosemite. If you don't see one, press Command-J to show view options, then look for a checkbox called Show Library folder, or something like that. ![]() In the Finder, press Command-Shift-H to go to the home directory, then look for a folder called Library. ![]() The procedure is simple, but since Apple makes the user library folder hidden by default, it gets a bit more complicated.įirst, make sure you have access to the Library folder.
